The 19th-century Palazzo Daniele in Italy's Puglia region was named Europe's hotel of the year in the Ahead Europe 2019 Awards. Run by Sleeper magazine, the awards recognize European hotels built or renovated from June 2018 to May 2019. Ahead Europe announced its 16 winners across 18 categories, including best hotel newbuild, best "visual identity," and best hotel restaurant. Winners include an American-inspired 1950s roadside diner in England, eco-friendly sea cabins on a private island in Norway, and a secret garden hotel in Mallorca, Spain. Zoo Berlin has released new photos of its adorable twin panda cubs. The unnamed cubs were born at the zoo on August 31 to mother Meng Meng. They opened their eyes for the first time in October. According to The Guardian, the twin cubs will live at Zoo Berlin until about four years after they're weaned off Meng Meng's milk, when they will move to China. In the tiny Czech town of Lukova, there is a church that has stood for hundreds of years. It's been abandoned since 1968 when the roof fell through during a funeral. Sotheby's International Reality is selling a houseboat for $1.5 million.  The three-bedroom, two-bathroom houseboat, named De Friese Franje, is docked on the Amstel River in Amsterdam. Sotheby's characterizes the vessel as a "floating palace."
